The Sakurai Oliver 58 E offset printers is designed for both short and long run production, with a consistent running speed of up to 12,000 iph. on a range of stock, from very thin paper to board. With the added facility to number and perforate, and spot colour, the Sakurai Oliver 58E offset printing press is the complete production unit.

The Pneumatic system of operating the Inkers, Dampers, and Vibrator rollers, eliminates the necessity for operating handles, thus enhancing the stream-line design of the Sakurai Oliver 58 E offset printing presses.

Advanced Electronics Simplify Machine Operation

By the introduction of an electronic sequencer and inverter, the Sakurai Oliver-58 E offset printing machines can be operated completely from the main control panel on the feeder unit, or the electronic panel situated over the delivery unit.

A preset counter is fitted as standard, enabling a pre-set quantity of sheets to be printed.
A fault indicator panel is located above the main electronic control panel.
An electronic, self memorising, two sheet detector is fitted as standard equiptment, and adjusts automatically to changes in stock thickness.
Ink and water supply can be increased or reduced by use of the remote control buttons on the delivery panel.

Greater Production

The highly successful Sakurai original stream feeder, incorporating back separation pick up suckers, together with two forwarding suckers, ensures consistent, accurate paper feeding at consistently high speed. The feeder incorporates mechanical and electronic two sheet detectors, and front alignment detectors. The over-run sensoring eye ensures torn, damaged, or half sheets do not reach the impression cylinder.

Greater production is ensured, incorporating the motorised feeder pile height system, including a fast table lifting facility. Two feed boards to enable pre-loading are standard. The feeder pile height can be increased for long runs, by removing the compressor from under the feeder and locating it to the side of the machine. This also enables the use of commont delivery and feeder trolleys for interchangeability, and these trolleys can be supplied as an optional extra.

The inking system consists of 18 rollers in the pyramid, including 4 form rollers of different diameters.

Three heavy cast cylinders, operating in bronze bearings, chrome plated cylinders, polished helical gears, ensure that the press is smooth running, extremely quiet, giving confidence to both purchaser and operator. Quick operation plate clamp action by means of one tommy bar movement. Accurate plate position incorporating pin register system. Engaging the selector switch on the delivery panel, the plate cylinder automatically turns and stops in the clamp position. Similarly, the numbering system also automatically locates to the correct position for the introduction of the numbering unit.

The sheet delivery unit incorporates a vacuum suction brake system, together with air blowers for complete control of the sheet delivery. Delivery height is controlled by photo-sensor system, and continuous delivery is avaible as an optional extra.

The Sakurai Oliver 58 E offset printing presses is lubricated continually from a motor driven pump, with the added precaution of a built-in sensor to prevent the machine being operated when the oil level falls below the danger mark.

The Sakurai Oliver 58 E is designed particularly with the safety of the operator in mind. There is a nip bar between the cylinders, all safety guards are interlocked, and emergency stop buttons are conveniently positioned. A hicky picker device is standard.

- Numbering, perporating, and spot colour imprinting

Heavy duty trolley to carry these units is provided, thus easy mounting of units to the press is ensured, and provides easy storage when numbering unit is not required.
Automatic positioning of numbering unit drive gear is effected by means of a push button switch.
Perforating wheels of various cutting pitch, slitting and scoring wheels are avaible.
Additional perforating equiptment is avaible, utilising segments on the transfer drum, enabling perporation close to numbering boxes.
Spot colour segments are available in various sizes, for printing second colour, or de-sensitising carbonless paper.
Inking unit, with increased inking capacity, can be provided if required.
