Multilith 1650 Printing Press Problems

Someone asked about his AM Multilith 1650 Printing Press Won’t Run…

I’ve got a 1987 AM Multilith 1650 1/c duplicator. I’m not able to find the ofset press to begin. I believe the reason is the security turn off on the top from the AM Multilith 1650 offset press, the red-colored push button. Basically giggle the knob I can hear the switch kick off and on. I can obtain the exhaust fan to spin around the gear side however the  Multilith 1650 press will not turn. Ive checked fuses along with other micro switches and all sorts of appear to become ok. The press went before I trailered it home.

Ive run these AM Multilith 1650 presses before but a couple of years back. I went a AM Multilith 1650, old-style, in senior high school but was less electrical compared to AM Multilith 1650. I would not mine getting rid of all the security features if there is a method to get it done. Can there be in whatever way to bypass that safety switch?

Every other ideas could be appreciated. Im itchiness to have it running. Ive been sitting behind a desk for 8 years calculating printing. I wish to print something! Thanks

A lot of it paint rollers are coming clean although not confident that they’ll take ink. Particularly the soft rubber paint rollers. A lot of it fountain still had ink inside it so it’s caked around the fountain curler too. Its coming off but gradually. Have you got a ink fountain edge? What type of water system have you got? Mine includes a Thistle which works and im fine to begin with it. I am not confident that it requires other things. It most likely does but until I begin using it, i know I’ll find parts that should be changed.

First unplug the equipment in the energy source. After that you can take away the user interface box using the on/off switch and speed control. Unplug the this area in the harness. Take away the control box rear back plate screws and find out if any wire or connector broke. Pretty good possibility something broke or came loose around the ride home. These are merely rubber paint rollers you take bare but ink track of a bead of ink across them whenever you startup. I’ve all of the little brass idler curler finishes and clips.
